Information about Accessing the Library Building

There is step free access from the entrance of the hospital to the library. The library doors are heavy and not automatic so some users may require assistance. Both entrances have double doors and are wide enough for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The library is on one level (there are no slopes or areas that have steps) and it is carpeted throughout. There is enough space for wheelchairs and mobility scooters to move around the library.

The swipe card access box and door release button located near the staff entrance are both easily accessible.

Assistance is available from library staff during staffed hours.
